they really still want this to be about barack obama. you are going to hear i think at this debate -- and duf is correct -- you have will hear more from romney about himself and make himself a little bit more likable, but you will hear about his policies for the future. but the main thing i think these folks are going to concentrate on is if you like the last four years, boy oh boy you will love the next four. >> jennifer: right. >> they will try to make this more about the president. >> jennifer: what i think is going to be interesting on this, duf is if mitt romney is going to focus on the things that truly have been debunked before then he is going to be in a very awkward position, when he says he is going to prove that what the president said is a lie. >> i think really what is more important is that he is going to point out, look, president obama promised us that unemployment wouldn't be this high -- >> jennifer: that's another lie. he didn't promise that it was going to be 8% or less -- >> just christine roamer his chief economic -

president obama has an advantage. but his vote has to come out. i remember in the kerry campaign in 2004, we had this enormous rally, all of this momentum. it looked like ohio was going to change the outcome of the election. it ended up where bush flipped it on election day. it was shocking. also on election day i remember back to 2000 where the gore campaign wrote off ohio. the election tightened considerably to where they regretted that they didn't play in ohio right up until the end. so ohio can break your heart. it can resurrect your campaign. my advice to president obama is not just keep coming to ohio which is good that he is. i think he's been to ohio already 29 times but also the ground game, get the vote out. that's really going to be the determining factor. >> jennifer: well, for sure. and there's a lot of reports out there that the republican ground game is extremely strong as well. so nobody can take anything for granted. one of the interesting tensions on the republican side is the sort of schism between what mitt romney is selling in

. >> obama: what's my plan. first we create a million new manufacturing jobs and help businesses double their exports. give tax breaks to companies that invest in america. not the to ship jobs overseas. >> other parts of the president's plan include cutting oil imports in half, training new teachers and workers bringing down student loans and reducing the deficit. that ad is airing in seven key states. over the next month and a half, we can expect both campaigns to target unlikely voters. that is because early voting is already underway and early voters tend to be educated, informed motivated. basically, they already know who they're voting for. what's left are the undecided and unlikely voters and we can expect both campaigns to work hard to get those people to the polls. meanwhile, florida is trying to keep people away. the state's officially restarting its voter purge with less than six weeks to go until election day. florida stopped its effort earlier this year when its purge list was obviously inaccurate. n
